Welcoming Janice Simsohn Shaw to the Good Insight team

We are excited to introduce Janice Simsohn Shaw as our newest Consultant for our search practice.

Janice is an accomplished facilitator, consultant, and advisor for social justice-focused foundations, donor collectives, and executive leaders. Janice will work closely with our clients to help them gain clarity on the skills and attributes they need to take their organizations to the next level.

Regarding her new role, Janice shares:
“I’m ecstatic to join the Good Insight team to help connect important social change work with incredible leaders. People are at the heart of organizations, and I value Good Insight’s approach to centering those people — staff, board, and candidates alike — with a process that is incredibly thoughtful, thorough, and engaging, and that centers equity every step of the way. I’ve always been a connector and am by vocation a facilitator, and am so pleased to put those skills to work as part of this fabulous team.”

In addition to her work at Good Insight, Janice is an accomplished independent facilitator who works with foundations and social change leaders to be better partners, listeners, and givers. She uses her skills to support staff teams, boards, coalitions, and others groups gain greater alignment, clarity, and meaning in their work together. Prior to consulting, Janice designed and facilitated leadership development programs for Next Gen donors and executive directors. Her writing has been published on a range of topics including capacity building, investing in nonprofit leaders, program-related investments, facilitation, and multi-generational philanthropy.

Good Insight founder and CEO Carlyn Madden said the following about Janice joining the team:
“I am so pleased that Janice is bringing her talents to the Good Insight team. So much of our work is about helping our clients understand the context of their leadership transition. Her skillful facilitation will be an enormous added value to our work.”
