Greater DC Diaper Bank names Executive Director

Good Insight is pleased to share that the Greater DC Diaper Bank (GDCDB) appointed Elizabeth Schurgin as the organization’s Executive Director, following an extensive search led by Good Insight. Schurgin began her new role in April.

“We have a powerful opportunity to connect families in the Washington metropolitan region with the health and care services they need,” said Nicole Kaeding, Board Chair. “With Liz’s leadership, we can realize a community where all have the capacity, agency, and opportunity to thrive.”

As Executive Director, Schurgin will shape GDCDB’s strategy to scale the organization’s programs, staffing, and infrastructure. In partnership with a network of 75+ local nonprofits, government agencies, and faith-based organizations, GDCDB is one of the nation’s largest diaper banks.

“The Greater DC Diaper Bank has a stellar and well-deserved reputation for its incredible work in service of our local families and communities,” said Schurgin. “I am thrilled to join the team, plan for the organization’s growth, and work together to address the challenges affecting economically vulnerable families in our region.”
