Greater DC Diaper Bank names Deputy Director
Good Insight is pleased to share that our client, the Greater DC Diaper Bank (GDCDB) announce the selection of Kris Minor as Deputy Director. In this new role, Kris will oversee the Diaper Bank’s day-to-day operations, in partnership with Executive Director Liz Schurgin, a Good Insight placement from 2024.
GDCDB has experienced tremendous growth in demand since 2020, and as one of the nation’s largest diaper banks, now distributes 11+ million diapers and nearly $1 million worth of other items annually to organizations serving tens of thousands of families throughout the Washington, DC region.
Kris brings more than 25 years of experience in nonprofit management and operations, specializing in building teams, expanding partnerships, and developing programs. He was Chief Operating Officer at the Forum for Youth Investment, a nonprofit, nonpartisan action tank, where he oversaw all administrative functions and led strategic partnerships and projects focused on improving policies and services for young people throughout the U.S. Kris was previously Senior Vice President at America’s Promise, now a practitioners’ community of the nation’s leading youth-supporting nonprofits, and has consulted with mission-driven teams large and small to implement big-picture strategy and day-to-day implementation.

In the newly created Deputy Director role, Kris will be responsible for overseeing GDCDB’s day-to-day operations and leading strategic efforts such as optimizing GDCDB’s technology infrastructure for its warehouse, development, volunteer and partner needs.

Kris advanced through an extensive national search led in partnership with Good Insight, an award-winning, Washington, DC-based executive search firm with an exclusive focus on nonprofits, associations, and foundations. Kris began his new role in June 2025.
