Educational Theatre Association seeks next Executive

Good Insight is partnering with the Educational Theatre Association (EdTA) on a search for a collaborative, strategic, mission-driven Executive Director to lead the nation’s largest association for educational theatre.

Founded in 1929, EdTA has inspired generations through its mission to shape lives through theatre. EdTA’s Executive Director is an enthusiastic champion of students and teachers, including the more than 130,000 association members. They will support and affirm the importance of theatre education and its enduring ability to shape lives, particularly as EdTA plays a vital role that stabilizes the field as educators and students navigate the new educational and cultural landscape resulting from the pandemic.

The next Executive Director will join a financially stable financially stable, mission-driven organization that has successfully navigated fiscal challenges resulting from the pandemic. The current budget is close to $6M. They will be an experienced leader, overseeing a dynamic team of 29 professionals, including a five-member management team responsible for operations, external affairs, and membership.
