District Alliance of Safe Housing names Chief Program Officer

Good Insight is pleased to share that the District Alliance for Safe Housing (DASH) announced Olubunmi (“Bunmi”) Akinkuowo as the organization’s first Chief Programs Officer (CPO) following an extensive national search. Akinkuowo began her new role in October 2023.

DASH works across Washington, DC to eliminate barriers to safe housing for survivors of domestic and sexual violence, helping thousands rebuild their lives on their own terms.

“Bunmi’s deep expertise in implementing strategy, strengthening and expanding programs, and cultivating partnerships will serve DASH as we evolve,” said Koube Ngaaje, President & CEO of DASH. “I welcome her partnership as we expand our vision of how DASH supports survivors.”

DASH has grown significantly over the past few years. As CPO, Akinkuowo will design programs and expansion strategies to deliver trauma-informed care through strengthened partnerships that bridge gaps in the continuum of care.

“I am honored by the opportunity to partner with the DASH team in the important work of empowering survivors to rebuild their lives on their own terms. I am inspired by DASH’s vision to ensure that safe housing is a right shared by everyone, and look forward to working alongside the DASH teams to make this vision a reality.”
