District Alliance for Safe Housing welcomes Manager, Program Operations

We are pleased to share that the District Alliance for Safe Housing, Inc. (DASH) welcomed Laura Hilty as the organization’s next Manager, Program Operations. In this role, Hilty will support the Deputy Chief & Chief Financial Officer and Chief Program Officer to ensure effective project management, compliance tracking, and operational efficiency across DASH’s program portfolio. DASH is one of DC’s largest providers of safe housing and trauma-informed services for survivors experiencing homelessness due to domestic and sexual violence.

Before joining DASH, Hilty served as Senior Project Coordinator at RTI International, where she managed operations for USAID-funded projects advancing sustainable growth, equity, and resilience in Latin America and East Africa. She oversaw grant management, financial reporting, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring that complex global projects delivered goals on time and within budget.

“This role calls for a skilled project manager who can coordinate across teams and support program operations,” said Alexandra Hallen, DASH Deputy Chief and CFO. “We’re thrilled to have someone of Laura’s caliber join our team at DASH.”

As Manager, Program Operations, Hilty will serve as a connector between leadership and Program teams, helping to ensure goals are met on time and in alignment with funder requirements – reinforcing DASH’s commitment to high quality, trauma-informed services for survivors.

“I am honored to bring my experience in operations and project management to DASH and to support its critical mission of empowering survivors of domestic and sexual violence,” said Hilty.

Hilty advanced through an extensive national search led in partnership with Good Insight, an award-winning, Washington, DC-based executive search firm with an exclusive focus on nonprofits, associations, and foundations. She began her new role in October.
